Introductory Landscape Training Classes
LADWP provides free introductory Landscape Training classes for customers. These classes are available online and in person and provide a cursory overview of the benefits of a California Friendly Native Plant landscape, how to remove turf and replace it with low-water-using landscape, and garden design and plant selection.
Course topics include:
- Using a sustainable approach to gardening
- Improving your soil
- Evaluating your project site
- Right plant, right place
- Using rainwater as a resource
- Managing irrigation
- Three ways to remove your turf
- Seasonal maintenance practices
- Turf removal rebate
Reserve Your Space
Select which class and date you want to register for, enter your first and last name, email, zip code and how you heard of the class. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent to you with class information.
