Rajiv Mehta

Assistant General Manager for Corporate Performance, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management

Rajiv Mehta is the Assistant General Manager for Corporate Performance, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the nation’s largest publicly owned water and power utility. He assumed this leadership role in October 2024, joining the Department after most recently serving as San Diego Gas and Electric’s Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance Manager.

As LADWP’s Assistant General Manager for Corporate Performance, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management, Mr. Mehta leads critical new functions responsible for establishing process improvement across the organization, tracking performance against goals and indicators, and developing strategies to manage change. He also works with leaders to manage change, ensure adoption of initiatives, and guide the organization’s corporate culture.

Mr. Mehta brings more than 20 years of experience in industrial engineering and process improvement within utilities, technology, retail distribution, consulting, and manufacturing companies.

Both a Bruin and a Trojan, Mr. Mehta holds master’s degrees in business administration from UCLA and engineering management from USC. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cooking, sports, and spending time with his wife, three children, and German Shepherd.
