Making your small business more energy efficient while saving money just got easier! With new rebates, expanded measures, and increased incentives, recent updates to our energy efficiency programs mean your small business has more opportunities and more reasons to save.
Among the updated programs is the Food Service Program (FSP), which offers businesses rebates of up to $5,000 for eligible environmentally friendly and energy-efficient food service equipment, such as cooktops, convection ovens, air-cooled ice machines, and electric fryers, griddles, and steamers. Also updated is the Custom Performance Program, which as of July 1 was renamed the Business Offerings for Sustainable Solutions (BOSS) program. Even with a new name, BOSS continues to provide incentives for energy savings achieved by implementing energy efficiency measures and installing eligible equipment.
Relaunch Highlights
Food Service Program: Electric induction cooktops are now eligible for rebate, at up to $400 per hob, making it easier and more cost effective for small businesses to replace gas-burning stoves and portable propane-fueled cooktops with an electric, environmentally friendly option.
Business Offerings for Sustainable Solutions: Higher incentives than had been offered under the Custom Performance Program are available. Among those, incentive rates will double to as much as $0.60 per kWh for HVAC upgrades and to $0.30 per kWh for appliance, plug and process retrofit projects. New measures eligible for incentives include electrification, horticultural lighting, and set lighting.
