Project Description
The Arlington Heights Main Line Project is an important part of LADWP’s plan to accelerate the pace of replacing aging infrastructure. The existing pipeline was installed in the early 1900s and has experienced various leaks throughout its time in service.
The existing pipeline will be replaced with a 6-inch, 8-inch and a 12-inch mainline to improve the water infrastructure in the area and ensure reliability.
This project is an essential investment in water infrastructure that will ensure the delivery of reliable, high quality water to the local community.
Construction Information
LADWP crews will install 9,745-feet of new pipe on Johnnie Cochran Vista, 17th St and 18th St and adjacent residential streets near Arlington Heights Elementary School.
Water service interruptions will be needed. LADWP will give a 48-hour notice when brief temporary service interruptions during working hours are needed to make water main connections. No other interruptions are anticipated. Upon project completion, the work areas will be paved.
