The standard bathroom faucet aerator sold in California uses 1.2 gallons per minute (gpm). You can receive free 1.0 or even 0.5 gpm bathroom aerators from the LADWP. Average savings are up to 2.5 gallons per day which is approximately 900 gallons of water savings per year! |

The standard break room or kitchen aerator sold in California uses 2.2 gpm. You can receive free 1.3 gpm break room/kitchen faucet aerators from the LADWP. Average savings are up to 2.5 gallons per day which is approximately 900 gallons of water savings per year! |
Showerheads |

The standard showerhead sold in California uses 1.8 gpm. You can get free 1.5 gpm showerheads from the LADWP. Savings are up to 1.0 gallon per minute used which is approximately over 5,300 gallons of water savings per year! |
Toilet Leak Detection Dye Tablets |

Toilet leaks are very common and can be a very costly water waste. If you can hear the water in your toilet making noise, even when no one flushed recently, you have a running toilet that could be wasting 200 gallons of water or more every day! Just drop these dye tablets in the tank and wait 10-15 minutes and then check the bowl. If there is any dye in the bowl, you have a leak. |
