In response to Mayor Karen Bass's Executive Directive 19, LADWP launched initiatives to streamline housing and business development-related service connections.

Through LADWP’s efforts, the Department is reducing delays, simplifying permitting, improving communication, and connecting customers through more modern systems. LADWP is delivering on ED19’s vision by removing bottlenecks in new power service connections, strengthening coordination with City partners and the development community, and creating a more transparent, efficient experience for developers and customers.
