LADWP offers opportunities to license or lease transmission line rights-of-way and other real properties for approved secondary land uses. Here’s what you need to know:

Starting the Licensing Process

Download and complete the following forms:

  • Application for Secondary Land Use
  • Acknowledgement and Willingness to Comply with Appropriate Guidelines 

 

Once completed and signed, mail both documents to:

Costs and Pricing

Licensing or leasing LADWP transmission line rights-of-way is based on fair market rent. Prices are not negotiable and are determined case by case.

Property Availability

Available properties for licensing or leasing will be added here when available. If a property is already licensed, LADWP will review whether multiple uses can coexist or notify you when it becomes available.

Approved Uses

  • Construction staging
  • Trucking operations
  • Vehicle or RV parking
  • Telecommunications facilities

If your intended use is not listed, you may submit a request for evaluation.

Restrictions

Building rental properties under LADWP transmission line rights-of-way is not permitted.
